iCarly Episodes - on cameraThe show, iCarly, follows the lives of Carly Shay and her sassy best friend Sam Puckett. The two friends with their screwy and unpredictable senses of humor and try anything attitudes are caught clowning around at a school talent show audition.

While watching them, their techno-brained friend, Freddie Benson, decided he would secretly post it on line, and the rest is history. Just as soon as the online audience witnessed the chemistry between the two girls, they were completely drawn into the taping, and iCarly was born. And just in case you’re not too web savvy,  the lower case “i” indicates the internet with Carly because she turns out to be the host of their new online show.

iCarly Episodes - Carly, Sam and FreddieWhat’s iCarly All About?

The character of Carly is played by Miranda Cosgrove and depicts the life of a sweet teenage girl with her best friend Sam, played by Jennette McCurdy. Their good techy-friend Freddie, played by Nathan Kress, is the third member of the team and is part of this on line variety show that includes talent contests, problem solving, recipes, and a section on dancing.

Making these iCarly episodes has thrown the three friends into the deep end, because the show became a huge overnight hit and the three unsuspecting characters quickly become instant celebrities. As people hang around for more of these kids and their antics, the iCarly episodes have garnered hot demand and this crew have come to the realization that the show must go on.

Filming iCarly Episodes

In the show Carly Shay lives with her twenty six year-old brother Spencer, who is also her guardian. They reside in a Seattle, Washington apartment where Carly produces the show using the third floor studio loft of their apartment. Their mother Jennette has never appeared or been mentioned in the show.Their father, US Air force officer Colonel Steven Shay, does get an occasional referred to in the show, but has never made an appearance. He is supposedly temporarily stationed on a submarine somewhere in the world.

Now here is a little bit of trivia for you, and it is, that Carly and Spencer’s apartment building, which is known in the show as Bushwell Plaza, is actually a digitally altered image of the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles.

Miranda Cosgrove: The Rising Star On iCarly Episodes

Making time to sit and watch iCarly episodes is not in any way a chore. In fact, it’s almost like visiting a your BFF in the iCarly cast, and spending the afternoon doing crazy, random stuff that you wouldn’t do with anyone else.

Miranda Cosgrove who plays Carly, has been heard saying that she has the best time recording the show, and that the entire iCarly cast is just like one big family. You sense this when you watch the show. And you can understand just what she means, because watching makes you feel like part of the iCarly family.

iCarly Episodes - Miranda Cosgrove as Carly ShayCarly Shay is a pretty young girl who likes to have fun, but has a sensible head on her shoulders. She’s smart, and gets good grades, as you would see in one of the iCarly episodes, where she goes for straight A’s.

She likes to think that being really smart helps her when it comes to judging others, but sadly, no matter how much she tries to see the good in others, she is quite naive in this department. In most other ways, however, she appears quite grown up and mature for her age. In many ways she often seem to be more grown up than her big brother Spencer!

The girls in the iCarly cast: A Dynamic Duo

Carly’s best friend is Sam Puckett. The two of them portray a strange and unusual friendship. Sam is really nothing at all like Carly, and sometimes Carly even wonders why they are such good friends. For some unseen reason this friendship works for both of them, although Sam is constantly getting Carly into trouble.

Carly and Sam: iCarly EpisodesCarly and Sam’s techno-friend Freddie has a crush on Carly, and it is obvious for everyone to see. Unfortunately for Freddie, Carly does not feel that way about him, and has repeatedly told him so. However, in the iCarly episode titled, iSaved Your Life, Carly almost changes her mind, when Freddie saves her life, by pushing her out of the path of an oncoming truck, taking the full impact of the truck himself. Freddie doesn’t buy into the idea because he sees it for what it is, but later finds that he regrets this decision, which is shown in the episode called “iSpace Out”.

There are other little things that go to making up the great personality that is Carly Shay:

  • She can play the ukulele, and often does.
  • She is also claustrophobic, which was discovered in one of the iCarly episodes called “iSams Mom”.
  • She likes to take long showers when she is depressed or when something is bothering her and needs to be sorted, and she has also been known to take a chair into the shower with her.
  • She takes vitamins everyday.
  • She suffers from allergies, and asthma, although she has not had an asthma attack since she was seven.
  • She is absolutely horrified by vermin, and thinks anything like that is totally gross.
  • She is a great dancer.
  • She has a great singing voice.

Carly is well played by Miranda Cosgrove, and Carly has won a place in every fan’s heart. She makes the show as believable as it is.

Jennette McCurdy: iCarly Episodes Wildchild

iCarley episodes: Jenette McCurdy as Samantha PuckettCarly’s best friend and co-host of the iCarly cast is Sam Puckett. Sam is expertly portrayed as a real tomboy by Jennette McCurdy. She enjoys playing pranks on anyone that she can. Sometimes she can get a little aggressive if things upset her, which is probably why she has been arrested four times. The thing Sam hates most above all else, is work, and she avoids it at all costs.

In the show Sam is shown to be a bit of a glutton, and her particular passion is for meat. Almost any kind will do… ribs, steak, fried chicken and meatballs. She loves them all. Sam is a very talented teenager. She’s an excellent rapper and a great dancer. She can sing and she can speak fluent Italian. Sam admits she loves to compete in beauty pageants, and to her credit, she came in second place in nineteen of them. She thinks she may have won at some point, but was suspended for seven years, when she was suspected of pushing another contestant down a flight of stairs.

When iCarly episodes first came on the scene, Sam was primarily dressed seen in tomboyish clothes that suited her personality. As the show has progressed, we begin seeing Sam in more feminine clothing. As Sam’s style evolves, we’re seeing a more mature Sam emerging on the show.

When it comes to her love life Sam is a little mixed up. Although she has dated a few times, she still chose to share her first Kiss with Freddie …poor Freddie. Sam is consistently rude, and insulting, to any girl that takes an interest in Freddie. When it’s all said and done, however, Sam knows that the boy she really cares about is Freddie. In the iCarly episodes after her realization, Freddie and Sam are seen kissing by Carly. Now this should be a happy ending, but this zany Sam decides to check herself into a mental hospital, because she thinks that she must be nuts to fall in love with Freddie. Watch the story unfold in the iCarly episode called “iLost My Mind”.

Stay tuned for more information about the entire iCarly cast and iCarly episode highlights. For now you can sit back and enjoy watch iCarly episodes on line.
